Poopy Goodness!

Themed restaurants are gaining popularity in some Asian countries. Seoul, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan are all embracing the quirky feel of dining. Surely, Filipinos would also be fascinated with Barbie, Hello Kitty, Airplane and Hospital Restaurants but the question is, are we ready for a toilet themed restaurant?

Yes, you read it right, imagine yourself eating your favorite meal inside the public restroom along with other ladies and gents, seated on a toilet seat relishing each spoonful of mouthwatering dishes. This may not be too cool for some, but a group of entrepreneurs in Taiwan made this disgusting idea to an interesting biz.

Modern Toilet restaurant is a brilliant idea of a group of entrepreneurs, who call themselves the  “muckrackers” They started out selling a pile of chocolate ice cream in containers shaped like a squat toilet. This humorous spin became a great success, thus coming up with additional dishes to their menu with the launch of Modern Toilet Restaurant. The restaurant immediately caused a stir in Taiwan with its humorous “out of the box” design.

Its interiors are that of a typical bathroom. Tiled walls donned in bright colors, toilet seats serve as, well, seats -with toilet covers in different characters to add to the already loud location, sinks and bathtubs placed with glasses, are used as tables. The place is not as disgusting as some may think, the restaurant is always squeaky clean. Makes eating in this place all the more appetizing.

Their menu includes hotpots, curry and rice toppings served in mini toilet bowls, paired with refreshing oolong or jasmine milk tea cooled in urinals. Don’t miss on the delectable gratin and ice shavings, really toothsome if it’s in a toilet squat.

This food experience surely may not be your typical meal set-up, but these odd servings will add to your enjoyment as you dig in to dishes exploding with different spices.  What do you think, are we Pinoys ready to savor our kare-kare in a toilet bowl?

Saya. Musika. Pag-ibig.

What better way to celebrate a night full of love - but with music to soothe your ears,  loved ones to share the mood, and a concert's overwhelming crowd. Definitely fun, worth the 6 hours standing O and eye bags!

It was my first time to attend UP's annual fair. I was hesitant at first, because I am not a fan of bands (the only band i really enjoy listening to is Up Dharma Down)  plus, i really don't like being in an area jam-packed with people. The thought of drowning in an ocean of folks who are taller than me, which is like 90% of the crowd, is way too much for me to handle. But thanks to my outgoing mon cher and cousins I was convinced to give it a try. We went there last Feb 14th, for The UP Underground Music Community's ROOTS.  It showcased music and arts through on-the spot painting, poetry - "dugtong", and live music.

To my surprise, I enjoyed it - A LOT!  Games and rides seemed fun, yes, I didn't dare take any of the rides, I was content just watching people scream their hearts out.  My crazy (always hungry) tummy didn't complain a sec, because there were lots food stalls. And aside from my tummy, my eyes were full as well; I hopped from one jewelry and apparel stand to another! Some sell cute and unique pieces at very low costs - I just couldn't resist myself from purchasing!

When the bands started to play, I banged my head along with the rest of the spectators, sang tunes that I thought I didn't know, and even shared giggles with strangers. I had a blast! It wasn't the usual sweet valentine's date, but surely made me heart burst with joy. Saya. Musika. Pag-ibig, ano pa nga ba ang hahanapin mo? :P

Fashion scene off the runway | Facebook edition

Last month, I posted a blog about the big city's fashionistas. Most of the outfit photos were taken during the School of Fashion and the Arts' graduation day.  I gained good feedback and quite a number of views, so I decided, why not do it monthly?

But to make this "click", I have to make variations to each post. So, for this blog post, i went through my friend's list, browsed every album they posted and snooped on their profiles in search for peeps with a flair for fashion. I begged them to death (okay, i'm just exaggerating) to allow me to posts their photos. Thank heavens for posh and nice friends!

Fashionistas aren't only seen in the magazines, billboards or runways. You can find them in every curves and crevices... even on the cyber world. Say HELLO to my Facebook friends!

Kiss and Make-up

It’s the time of the year again, when people across the globe fill the air with love, when hearts are swoon, flowers bloom to their fullest, and  when chocolates are everyone’s favorite dessert. It’s that day,  ladies go gaga over their outfits, wanting to look gorge for their valentines date- be it with friends, their significant other or family.

You girls ready for your dates today? Make sure you prep up well, don’t forget carry your best accessory, smile. Add a dash of color on your lips for a sweet, heart melting smile! Here’s something to help you decide on which shade to wear on this love-filled day.

----------------

V-day Checklist: Chocolates. Roses. LIPSTICK!

Like most cosmetic products, there are gazillions of types of lipstick produced. From Mac, Shiseido, Chanel, Shu Uemeura, to evlon, Maybeline etc. Each beauty store is packed with varieties of shades and types.

To set a different twist, brands label their products not only with color but also what each product has to offer. Just like Colour Collection’s newly introduced Mineral Lipstick. My newly found affordable beauty picks1

What is mineral lipstick, you say? This mineral cosmetic system is uniquely formulated for those who want long-lasting pure color and the benefits of naturally derived mineral ingredients such as Aloe Vera, and green tea that aids to improving the appearance of the lips especially those that are sensitive.

One of the many colors, that’s good for all color complexion is Plumberry. It has that nude-ish tone with a touch of berry pink that is perfect for day hang out with girlfriends to a dinner date with the love of your life. This shade will give you a glowing and youthful vibe.

Tea Rose. This one's for the sweet lass. It's not too bright nor too pale. You'll look simple, effortless yet chic. Surely, your boyfie, crush or whoever would notice your beauty.

Heading for a night out this Vday, wear something loud with  this Nicki Minaj like shade of lipstick.I bet girly would love and drool over this lip tint!

Also perfect for day and night gimmicks, true red is vavavoom! Some may not want this color, because is too bold. But hey, it's Valentines after all. Spread red, the color of love!

When tested, mineral lipstick is o soft on the lips, it’s not too thick and doesn’t crack when applied. Note that it takes five minutes for the color to set, such a bummer but waiting for a few minutes is better than having to apply a lot of coating just to get an instant color, you wouldn’t want too look like a clown don’t you?

Aside from the five minutes waiting, the mineral lipstick is all-good for a lipstick. It stays a bit long for a whole day jam-packed with errands, no need for touch-ups!. Not bad for a 400php cosmetic, right?

kisses. xoxo. bisous. beso beso.

(accidentally deleted a blogpost on this, so i decided to re-blog it in time for Valentines day)
